MY LIFE IN ONLY SIX PICTURES
Watch out, here comes Baby Cat. Even though we have a beloved family dog, a medium-sized Poodle named Alfie, I included this picture of Baby Cat because I felt like I really captured her. My brother, James, found her when she was a kitten and brought her in. After my Mum hesitatingly agreed to let us keep her and we brought her to the vet, we found out she was going to have kittens! It was a great time for my bro, sis and I. After the recommended time had past to let her just relax and take care of her new kittens, we brought her in to the vet for trip #2 to get “fixed”. My Mum was horrified to find out that Baby Cat, (hence her name), was pregnant again with another litter. We were calling her Will before all this went down. She is the kind of a cat that is constantly on the move and interested in everything that is going on. Due to her rough beginnings she is kind of freaked out all the time. She has calmed down considerably but she still likes to stay on the move.
This is my dad. He’s the coolest man I’ve ever known. I put that bow on his glasses and he wore them around like that for a while. It was great. I messed up by not capturing my Mum and Dad together. They are so in love and have wonderful chemistry. I admire them both so much.
My grandpop has lived in my ‘homehome’ since I was in 3rd grade. He volunteers 3 days a week at a near-by facility for retired nuns called St. Joseph’s Villa. All the Sisters adore him there and they call a lot to chat. Gramps and I have had really nice conversations since I’ve come back from Ireland, his homeland.
Some of you may have already met Aunt Emma. She’s my South Philly girl. I like to visit her and chat about life. Her eyes aren’t that good and she can’t walk as much as she used to but she’s got stories. I saw her yesturday and brought her a box of Wheaties she requested. Here she's handing me the reciept of her last doctor's appointment so I can see how expensive it was. She didn't think I believed her.
This is Pia King. Look at her, she’s so much fun. She’s my roommate and we just laugh a lot. I don’t know what I’d do without her.
My self-portrait includes my best friend Steve Miller. He makes me very happy as you can see. I don’t really like self-portraits. I think this portrait of myself works because even though Steve’s in it too, it’s mostly about me and also shows the source of a lot of my happiness. This was just before we went to a party last week.
