Melvin Popover, a retired army photographer, has been living in the Philadelphia area for all of his sixty years. “Let’s just say … I know what the angel of death looks like”, he explained when asked about his experience working for the government. These days Melvin works as a security guard at CVS. “I’m a trained people watcher”. In Rittenhouse Square Melvin enjoys bird and people watching. “Today? Today I’m just enjoying my pipe and diet Pepsi here …and the incredible weather too.”
